Some common questions…

Q. What is the difference between hospice care and home health care?

Hospice care is typically located within a medical facility and often consists of other elderly or disabled individuals. There are planned activities and events often handled by medical and administrative staff. Most of the tasks and activities are done in a group setting.

Home health care is in a private location, such as an individual’s home or place of residence. A nurse or medical staff member will help with day to day activities such as light house cleaning,cooking/preparing meals or running errands for an individual. An LPN is the only one who is allowed to give out/administer medications.
